Originally from France, Laurent Chantegros moved to California when he was twenty-three. He currently resides in San Diego, and he started taking photos 25 years ago, spending countless hours in the darkroom processing black and white films. The last few years, he has split my time between studio and sport photography. Recently though, his interest shifted to surf photography. Now he's spending most of his time in the waters of Southern California capturing the lifestyle and culture of surfing.
