Nick Brandt is an English photographer who photographs exclusively in the African continent, one of his goals being to record a last testament to the wild animals and places there before they are destroyed by the hands of man. Born in 1964 and raised in London, England, Brandt studied Painting, and then Film at Saint Martin's School of Art. He moved to the United States in 1992.

Superyacht Germania Nova for Sale

The 196-foot (59.80m) sailing yacht Germania Nova was designed as a true replica of the racing schooner Germania, circa 1908 at Krupp Germania Werft Kiel. 

This version was built in 2011 by Factoria Naval de Marin, S.A. Spain, using the innovative designs by the famous Max Oertz. The interior of Germania Nova boasts 1920s panache, but offers modern comforts and five-star amenities, as those usually found on luxury sailing yachts. Germania Nova’s five impressive en-suite staterooms — an owner’s suite with an array of amenities, including a walk-in wardrobe, and four double guest cabins — accommodate up to 10 on board. The style of the beautiful main salon harkens back to the classic sailing yachts of yesteryear with white-paneled walls and a rich mahogany floor. The interior utilizes a blue and white color palette, which evokes calm and relaxation; it is comfortable and well suited for socializing and entertaining. On deck, Germania Nova has a dining area for 10 guests forward of the main helm station. Her deckhouses are constructed of lightweight aluminum with teak wood veneers. Seating is available on the outboard side of the main deckhouse and there is ample space for sunbathing. Germania Nova is a traditional gaff-rigged schooner. Honeymoon Journey on a Motorcycle

Halina and Stanislaw Bujakowski were living in Druskininkai, where they’ve met and get married in August 1934. After their marriage, Halina and Stanisław began an extraordinary journey. Its aim was the farthest point on the map achievable on a motorcycle, from their home in Druskininkai, Poland to Shanghai, China. Their route took them through Europe, Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Persia, India, Burma, Indo-China and finally China. They started the journey on 19th August 1934 with a BSA motorcycle G34-14 model and a sidecar. Stanislaw led motorcycle, Halina was sitting in a basket. With her lap typewriter, she kept a journal as well as sending travel logs back to the national magazines in the form of reports. After returning to Poland in 1937, Halina collected them and wrote chronicle from expedition which hasn’t been released until the 2011. Fortunately 70 years later, manustcripts were rediscovered and published as a book “My boy, motorcycle and me. From Druskininkai to Shanghai 1934-1936” edited by Łukasz Wierzbicki. Via : vintag.es

Henderson KJ Streamline 1930

With its 1,200-cc, 40-brake horsepower, in-line four-cylinder engine, the 1930 Henderson Model KJ Streamline could exceed 100 mph. In an era when streamlining was used sparingly in motorcycle design, American Orley Ray Courtney’s enclosed bodywork was virtually unknown on production two-wheelers (except for a few racing machines), making the KJ an unusual and beautiful example of Art Deco design. Percy Fawcett

Lieutenant Colonel Percival Harrison Fawcett DSO (1867 - during or after 1925) was a British geographer, artillery officer, cartographer, archaeologist and explorer of South America. Along with his eldest son, Fawcett disappeared in 1925 during an expedition to find "Z", his name for an ancient lost city, which he and others believed to exist and to be the remains of El Dorado, in the jungles of Brazil.

Severiano Ballesteros

Severiano "Seve" Ballesteros Sota (1957 – 2011) was a Spanish professional golfer, a World No. 1 who was one of the sport's leading figures from the mid-1970s to the mid-1990s. A member of a gifted golfing family, he won more than 90 international tournaments in his career, including five major championships between 1979 and 1988: The Open Championship three times, and the Masters Tournament twice. He gained attention in the golfing world in 1976, when at the age of 19 he finished second at The Open. He played a leading role in the re-emergence of European golf, helping the European Ryder Cup team to five wins both as a player and captain. He won the World Match Play Championship a record-tying five times. He is generally regarded as the greatest Continental European golfer of all time.
