Taki Bibelas for Marie-Claire Magazine
.
Taki Bibelas for Marie-Claire Magazine. Being born in Athens, Greece is perhaps one of the reasons Taki was fascinated at an early age with light and colours. After completing university studies in Communication and Sociology in Canada, he began to travel. He has evolved a cinematic photographic feel into both the still and moving image, providing timeless images for his fashion and beauty clients, as well as the music industry. His first major film "The Still Point" has been awarded best film in three international festivals. HIs model's body language reflect sensual simplicity and elegance, which leads to a vision whose signature is simply, the memorable image. Taki's iconic photographs have been published in many influential magazines around the world. His editorial clients include Vogue Hommes International, Numero, Vanity Fair, Mixte, Italian Marie Claire, L'Official and French to name a few. He has exhibited his works in London, Paris and Germany.

Oily Rag Bobber
.
David Sutton, the owner of the British company Oily Rag Clothing, always wanted to have an old Triumph, although it couldnt be a common one. Being Designer and Engineer, his bike had to be different from the rest ..., a blend of different metals with perfect finishes.

Man of the World
.
Man of the World is a handbook for the modern man, with its DNA inspired by American Heritage. Like most of us growing up, I really appreciated the appeal of the Hollywood icons of the 1960s and ’70s, guys like Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, Robert Redford, and Al Pacino. In today’s marketplace, you rarely find content that caters specifically to men who value style, travel, food, art, and culture. Man of the World is tightly focused on that group; it doesn’t try to be all things to all people. It’s for a sophisticated male niche audience, and it’s somewhere they can go for consistent, compelling, informative content.

.
By our guest contributor Nicholas Biebuck
Monocle is a "global briefing" covering an eclectic mix of current affairs, business, culture and design. As well as the print publication there is also a weekly podcast on iTunes and a daily "Monocolumn" on their website. Monocle was launched in February 2007 by Tyler Brûlé (founder of Wallpaper* magazine and Financial Times columnist). With 10 editions a year printed on quality paper stock with excellent photography, it is well worth subscribing to, if only for the inviting to their fun parties and nice tote bag.

The Vogue Shame
.
via : the Independent .
African photographer Mario Epanya's proposition of an African edition of Vogue has been rejected by publishing house, Condé Nast.
Epanya, who created fictitional covers and editorials for his campaign, posted on his Facebook page: "DEAR ALL. The Wait is over. Condé Nast said NO to an African license of VOGUE. So this is the last cover. Enjoy, but it's a beginning of something."
African-American lifestyle site Madame Noire writes: "Obviously, Vogue can still get away with a few editorials featuring Africans and African Americans sprinkled here and there. Although their "Black Issue" flew off the magazine racks in 2008, are you really surprised that Conde Nast rejected the idea?"
Some of those commenting on the story have called on Africans to boycott the other 18 international Vogue editions and opt for local magazines, such as Arise, instead.
