19th century Limba arrows

.

19th century Limba arrows held by Mamadou Mansaray, town chief of Bafodia, Sierra Leone (West Africa) 1967. Photo taken in 1967 or 1968 at Bafodia, capital of Wara-Wara Bafodia Chiefdom, northern Sierra Leone. G. H. Garrett, travelling in this area in 1890, wrote "Their weapons consist of spears, and bows and arrows, the latter poisoned; the heads are barbed and bent, which gives them a rotary motion and enables them to dispense with feathers."
