"Instrumental albums were the first records that I began collecting. I would snatch up anything that had an interesting cover, song title, or a group I was already aware of. I enjoy the random links in music such as 'The Marketts' and 'The Routers' being the same studio group and practically the same recording sessions by Los Angeles' wrecking crew. I can spot that Hal Blain beat on any record. I wonder if he kept up with all the group names where his drumming was featured.".
