30 St Mary Axe, also known as "The Gherkin" and The Swiss Re Building, is the one of the most distinctive skyscrapers on the City of London designed by Norman Foster and Patners.
Strict planning conditions, dictated by the building being in the background of St. Paul's Cathedral when viewed from many locations around London, ensure that a unique building was constructed on the old Baltic Exchange site.
It has featured in the films Match Point, Basic Instinct 2 and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and has an excellent restaurant an bar at the top which provides impressive 360 degree views of London.
