Thomas Sankara
Pan-Africanism is a sociopolitical world view, philosophy, and movement which seeks to unify native Africans and those of African heritage into a "global African community". Generally Pan-Africanism calls for a politically and economically united Africa or unity of African people.
Thomas Isidore Noël Sankara (December 21, 1949 – October 15, 1987) was a Burkinabé fighter pilot, military captain, Pan-Africanist President of Burkina Faso from 1983 to 1987. Viewed as a dashing, charismatic, and iconic figure, he is commonly referred to as "Africa's Che Guevara.
