A TriBsa from Heaven

.

Michel built this bike in the last two years with very strict specifications :
The bike should be as it existed in 1960.
All pictures copyright Vincent Michel

For now, the bike is not strictly composed from parts 1960 parts but it will evolve in that direction. It must be unique and not a "princess Catalog", so far from me the idea of taking the easy way of ordering parts from a dealer. That's what led me to make all that my rudimentary tools allowed me to produce, primarily the aluminum tank and seat. Finally, the bike will be used daily on the road.

This bike is a TriBSA (Triumph / BSA) that these are the main features:

BSA A10 frame 1960 with a home made modified swingarm and subframe.
Triumph 650cc engine with a 1953 Thunderbird low engine, head of Tiger 110 and racing camshafts. Magneto ignition Racing, Amal Monobloc Carburetor, BSA standard gearbox.
Transmission and primary chain clutch Triumph, Brake and front hub BSA Goldstar, rear flanges BSAs modified with Lightning, Akron Alloy wheels at the rear and front Borrani , BSA fork with shortened Yoke "Taylor Dow Vintage, Turntables engine "Convert" vintage aluminum, Counter and tachometer Chronometric "Smiths" (tachometer made from a counter), Remote controls home made, Fuel tank and setting home made, Seat Home made, Lucas taillight and license plate holder home made, Steering brake BSA / BMW Series 2, and a multitude of small parts ... special.

It's a small world – I've been following the build on Flickr – it's a beauty

I love It. Bikes are all about proportion and lines.
