La Cité Radieuse

.

The housing unit in Marseille, also known as the Radiant City is a home built between 1945 and 1952 by Le Corbusier. Built as a bar on stilts (shaped legs splayed at the brutal aspect) it attempts to achieve a new kind of city, a "vertical village" called "housing unit".
The residence has 337 apartments in the duplex, separated by "internal street".
