Old motor cop pictures

Some of the motorcycles are older than 1938, note the older Fords and Ford Dealer showrooms in some of the pictures. Rear tire driven sirens on most. Many without windscreens. Sidecar (w/"monkey" the "Sarge")! Several "Indians". No helmets. Big baggy cavalry pants. "Hot Sheet" roll visible on one. No 2 way radios! Uniforms have definite "warm" look to them. PDNYC = Police Dept. New York City (?) I think.
Some sparkly '38 Fords in the showrooms. Lot's of neon hanging inside too.
