" We had 4 days off between Barber and Daytona, so Maria Costello Mbe, Jamie Waters and I headed south from Birmingham, AL, and stopped along the way in Tallahassee, FL. Why Tallahassee? I really don't know. But, we decided to make the best of it and found a little bike shop close to our hotel that let us unpack the bikes and change tires/gearing, etc, in preparation for Daytona. Later there were about 7 pukka bikes disassembled in their car park! They were totally cool about it though. Ahhh, I'm already jonesing for the 2012 race season." -
