La Calypso

Xavier Viratelle send me a note about the Fabulous Calypso vessel and i wanted to make a small post about this unforgetable Lady which is under refurbishing.

Francine Cousteau, President of The Cousteau Society and its sister organization Equipe Cousteau, has accomplished what is perhaps the biggest challenge for the Calypso. Under the leadership of Ms. Cousteau, the legendary vessel of Captain Jacques-Yves Cousteau has arrived at the shipyard Piriou in Concarneau (Brittany, France) where she will be completely refurbished. Calypso will sail again as an ambassador of the seas and oceans, carrying the legacy of Captain Cousteau and Cousteau flag all over the world.
