Carnets du Nil Blanc. The bike on the cover is a BMW R50, 500cc, white, bought in Munich in June 1961 by John Hopkins and his friend Joe. Both are American, newly graduates of the prestigious Princeton University (the mecca of mathematics).
This bike, they christened it the White Nile, name painted on both sides of the tank and with it they are going from Munich to Kenya.
