Taking place at Bonhams New York on the 16th October is an auction of samurai related artefacts. The suits of armour are fascinating and represent a truly incredible level of workmanship and artistry. As well as the suits there are a large selection of sword mountings (tsuba, menuki, etc) and blades. The full catalogue can be viewed at Bonhams. Above is shown a sakura gawa do maru yoroi armour made of iron plates together with its chest and incredible headdress.
