1978: Mike Hailwood/Yamaha TZ750. Mike raced at Bathurst a few months

1981: Production racing has always been important in Australia. Here Lee
Roebuck (on the first race for the Ducati Pantah in Oz) chases Jennifer
Coates.
1982: Graeme Geddes/Armstrong 250 (4).
My friend Phil Aynsley sent me these amazing pictures he took during races on the Bathurst Circuit in New South Wales, Australia. Mount Panorama, Motor Racing Circuit Bathurst (or often simply Bathurst)is the home of the Bathurst 12 Hour motor race, held each February, and the Bathurst 1000 motor race, held each October. The track is 6.213 km (4 mi) long, and is technically a street circuit, as the circuit is a public road when no racing events are being run, and there are many residences which can only be accessed from the circuit.

Fantastic photos. I used to ride to Bathurst annually for the Easter races and saw all the riders in these photos. Graeme Geddes was a local kid from my neighbourhood who I used to ride dirt bikes with. He was super quick and could have been a world championship contender if he had found the right team in Europe.
