Well, how to begin? This project was made in Rio, yes, in a place where before existed a very nice park, now, we have this. Our mayor at that time didn't ask to the cariocas (people who lives in Rio) if we wanted the theatre. A French architect was chosen while we in Brazil have many known good architects ourselves. The project would cost to our funds 25.000.000,00 US$ in 4 years. It took 12 years to be finished at a cost of 250.000.000,00 US$. Now as they don't have the money to finish the theatre for the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, the building was changed to popular shows! That's our reality!!
