Hammer Kraftrad R nineT

.

It was in the first months of the year that a friend of Michael Hammer from Hammer Kraftrad came up to him and asked him if he’d fancy to customize a R nineT. He explained him that the german actor Hardy Krüger Jr. was looking for a Cafe Racer in polished aluminum. Of course Michael liked what he heard and that he could finally get the chance to work with a R nine T. Michael met for the first time Hardy Krüger Jr. and the guys of Motorradhaus Ebert in Höchberg and he got the commission. By the middle of march he started the project. Michael made all the additional parts like the fairing, the fenders, the head spoiler, the rear by hand without any stencil out of 2mm thin aluminum plates. There were a few more meetings between Hardy and him at Hammer Krafrad workshop where they spoke about a few details and where they could clarify the image of the bike in their heads. All the laquering and the montage of the parts in the end were made by Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Exhaust Systems. Who also gave the bike the right sound. They first showed the bike in the south in Garmisch-Partenkirchen at the BMW Motorraddays where they had a lot of fun with it.
