A few days ago I stumble upon an article about Sinje Oki Gottwald, the first person to cross Africa unassisted on an electric motorcycle and what I saw is unbelievable. For this trip she rode the Kalk OR Race from CAKE Motorcycle, the next level in the category of lightweight electric motorcycles, premium Öhlins suspension, lightweight, 280Nm of electric instant torque.
CAKE was founded in 2016 by the acknowledged entrepreneur in strategy, design and branding, Stefan Ytterborn.
Leaving Barcelona in October 2022, Sinje Oki Gottwald rode south along the West Coast of Africa on this electric motorcycle in an attempt to set up a new world record. On february 15th 2023 she finally arrived in Cape Town after crossing the African continent from north to south on her electric motorcycle.
