The Iron & Resin Garage is located at 324 E. Main St. in the heart of historic downtown Ventura. The one hundred year old building in this blue-collar beach town, steeped in the history of cattlemen, oil roughnecks, surfers and Hell’s Angels, was a fitting location to lay down our roots and display our wares.

Hooligan Derby By Iron & Resin

On the line, just trying to keep the bike you've resurrected from dying before the flag waves. You are surrounded by good friends and strangers, all looking to get a little sideways a fraction of a second ahead of you. The guy next to you is on a 650 British twin, you are on a lighter 250 2 stroke..."run what you brung" at its finest.
We are happy to announce the first annual Iron and Resin Hooligan Derby, taking place in our home of Ventura, CA. Ventura Raceway, an oval track affectionately known as "the best little dirt track in America" is a perfect setting for some dirt slinging amongst like minded friends. Open to all comers, our hope is that this will encourage a new breed of rider/racer to come out and share in the festivities.

Pre mix, 4-stroke, Japanese, American, Brit... if you can kick it, you can race it.

The first day of races is Saturday, April 14. Head over to Ventura Raceway's website to enter for $45 bucks. All racers get a limited I&R tee, and after the race we will be nursing our wounds and our egos with drinks at The Tavern, just on the other side of the tracks.

Grace Bumbry (born January 4, 1937), an American opera singer, is considered one of the leading mezzo-sopranos of her generation, as well as a major soprano for many years. She was a member of a pioneering generation of singers who followed Marian Anderson (including Leontyne Price, Martina Arroyo, Shirley Verrett and Reri Grist) in the world of classical music and paved the way for future African American opera and classical singers.

Danny Lyon (1942- ) is one of the most original documentary photographers of the late 20th century. Lyon grew up in a middle-class section of New York City and began to make photographs at the age of 17. He studied history at the University of Chicago and in 1962 joined the civil rights movement, becoming staff photographer for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC).

The Daytona 200 is a 68-lap, 200-mile (320 km) motorcycle race held annually at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The race has been one of the toughest in American motorcycling because of its endurance-like qualities of pit stops for tires and fuel.
In 1962 the winner was Don Burnett on a Triumph, the last Norton to win the race was in 1952 with Dick Klamfoth.

Dick Klamfoth burst onto the motorcycle racing scene by wining the Daytona 200 in 1949, on his very first attempt. Klamfoth continued on to win the spring classic again in 1951 and 1952 to become the first three-time winner of America's most famous motorcycle race.
