Over the past 10 years Will Rochfort has developed his own individual style of narrative painting. His paintings are snapshots of moments in time, often idealised and always entirely staged using his friends and family as models. He sees himself as the director, shaping his chosen scene until he's happy and then using this as a groundwork to start painting. His focus is on story, composition and colour…and always seeing the paint at work when you get close.
