Bo Diddley (December 30, 1928 – June 2, 2008) is the stage name for Ellas Otha Bates, an American rock and roll vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and inventor. He was known as "The Originator" because of his key role in the transition from the blues to rock & roll, influencing a host of legendary acts including Buddy Holly, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, and Eric Clapton.

The 1909 design by Charles D. Mower was intended as a fast racing boat that could also serve as a family runabout on the St. Lawrence River. The original twenty boats were built by the Leyare Boat Works in Ogdensburg and sold on a subscription basis, each boat given a number in the order purchased. These numbers were painted large on the topside at the bow so the boats could be easily identified while racing. Over the years these boats became known locally as the “Number Boats”.

We all know that vintage Doxa watches are rare and there are certain ones which are “grail” watches. The HRV Conquistador, Gene Cernan’s T-Graph and Clive Cussler’s 300T. Well here’s another one to add to that list. The image below is of Philippe Cousteau Senior. Philippe and his brother Jean-Michel are the sons of Jacques Yves Cousteau. Among the last sketches to come from Wright's hand was a pencil study for a house dramatically perched on a rocky promontory. Apprentice John Rattenbury was at his side as Wright sketched two embracing circles and described the general plan. After a while he got up from his desk, never to return to the drawings again. The next week, April 9, 1959, he died.

Thion, one of the most hard-working and underrated locks in world rugby, has played for France since 2003, representing them at the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia as well as captaining them in three tests in late 2005. The High Cam Sunbeam was only made in 1939 when AMC took over the Sunbeam company. The High Cam was built using several engine capacities of 250, 350, 500 and 600ccs. This Sunbeam is a B25 500cc engine of 82.5mm bore and 93mm stroke.

1973 John Player Norton 750 Monocoque, the only bike to have won the Isle of Man TT ridden by it's design, Peter Williams, a very talented rider whose racing career was cut short by an accident that almost killed him. The bike also featured cast wheels, another Williams invention on bikes and is arguably the grandfather of all modern monocoque superbikes. Peter is a real gentleman and a very intelligent man who lectures from time to time and has also worked for Lotus, through who he has a number of patents relating to engine and chassis design. There are 4 original bikes in existence, two in the UK (one is at the National Motorcycle Museum), one in Europe and one in the US which was supposedly sold for the highest price paid for a motorcycle a few years ago (about £300,000 is the rumour).

The Yamamura House, situated on a ridge overlooking the affluent city of Ashiya, was designed in 1918 by Frank Lloyd Wright as a retreat for the family of a local sake brewer, Tazaemon Yamamura. The Honda SL350 had a standard Honda 350 twin cylinder, four-stroke engine with a modified cam for increased low-end torque. It was a beautiful bike - tall forks, high bars, metal-flake golden bronze paint, twin matt-black upswept exhausts, and big knobbled tyres. It was somewhere between a road bike and a motocrosser.
