Keith Hickman carried the name of Cheney into the GPs and the quality of both the bike and the rider were evident at the opening round of the 1965 season in Austria when Hickman brought the Victor home in fourth place. These were exciting days for the little concern from Hampshire and would be the prelude to the rest of the decade as they harried and often beat the "Goliaths" of the motocross world but were constantly denied that deserved Grand Prix victory.
